The Red Planet

 Mars

It is the fourth planet from the sun, and it is a dusty, cold, desert world with a very thin atmosphere. Mars is also a dynamic planet with seasons, polar ice caps, extinct volcanoes, canyons, and more lots of evidence. It is one of the most explored bodies in our solar system. Two NASA rovers and one lander are currently exploring the surface of Mars (and a Chinese lander has successfully landed on Mars on 14th May 2021).

Formation

The mars was formed 4.5 billion years ago with swelling gases and specks of dust to form the fourth planet from the sun. its size is almost like earth and like its fellow terrestrial planets with solid crust, rocky mental, and a central core.

Layer

Core:
The core is composed of sulfur, iron, and nickel. temperature is 1350 K. Its diameter is about 3720 km

Mantel: The mantel is composed of silicon, oxygen, magnesium, and iron. It is about (1,240 to 1,880) km thick.

Crust: It mostly consists of basalt rocks. The crust is almost 10 to 50 km thick. The crust also holds some nutrients like sodium, potassium, chloride, and magnesium.

Moon

Mars has two moons. Phobos and Deimos.

Facts

1) Mars's gravity is 38% of earth's.
2) Mars has frozen water today.
3) Mars used to have a thicker atmosphere.
