The Boiling Venus

Image
Venus Venus is the second planet from the sun and the closest neighbor of earth. It is one of the rocky planets in the solar system. The size is almost the same as the earth. This planet is the second planet from the sun then to it is the hottest planet in the solar system. It is the hottest planet because it does not have oxygen to form the ozone layer which could protect the planet from  UV rays . The surface temperature is 864 degree Fahrenheit (462 degree Celsius) . The maximum gas present in the atmosphere of this planet is carbon dioxide. There are also poisonous gas which can kill any living creature if it would be breathed in.  Formation Venus has formed about 4.5 billons years ago. It was formed when the swirling gases, dust, and rocks were pulled/attracted to a particular area by gravity. Layer 1) Core: The diameter of the core is 4,000 miles (6,400 km) and the temperature is 5160 K . It is mostly made up of iron and nickel . Because of the pressure of the sur...

The Craggy, Small Mercury

Image
Mercury Mercury is one of the smallest rocky planet. There are four rocky planets in our solar system ( Mercury , Venus , Earth , and  Mars ).  Mercury is the nearest planet to the sun.  But it is not the hottest planet,  as it does not has any atmosphere to hold the heat energy. If it would have the atmosphere then the temperature could rise up to 800 degree Fahrenheit (699.82K). The shiny light-blue streaks across mercury's surface are the crater rays that are formed in impact when fresh, ground-up rock is strewn across the surface of the planet. Formation When gravity pulled the rippled gas and the dust together about 4.5 billion years ago to form a small rocky planet near the sun. Layer 1) Solid Inner Core: The   scientist reported that the size of the mercury's inner core and the Earth's inner core is about the same size. It is a solid metallic core that is said to have the 85% of the mercury's total mass. 2) Outer Molten Core: This outer molte...

The Blazing Sun

Image
The Sun We all know that there are billions and billions of stars in space. The nearest star from the earth is the Sun which is located at the center of the Solar System . The sun is orbited by all the planets, asteroid belts, dwarf planets, etc. ...  .  The temperature of the blazing sun is 5778 K ( 5504.85 degrees Celsius). "It's too hot, right?" Formation The present age of the sun is about 4.5 billion years. It is formed by the overwhelming gravity of the solar nebula which span faster and faster and formed a disk-like structure. The gravity pulled over 99.8% of the mass towards the center to form the sun.   Components It is made up of:                             Hydrogen  - 71% Helium  - 27.1% Oxygen  - 0.97% Carbon  - 0.40% Nitrogen  - 0.096% Silicon  - 0.099% Magnesium  - 0.076% Neon  - 0.058% Iron  - 0.014% Sulfur  - 0.040% The layers The t...
